  • 4 egg yolks (200 kcal)
  • 4 egg whites (64 kcal)
  • 200 ml milk (126 kcal)
  • 125 g flour (438 kcal)
  • 3 tbsp sugar (120 kcal)
  • 1 pkt vanilla sugar (40 kcal)
  • 1 pinch salt (0 kcal)
  • 1 tbsp butter (102 kcal)

Preparation steps

  1. Beat egg whites with 2 tbsp sugar and salt until stiff.

  2. In a separate bowl, mix egg yolks, 100 ml milk, remaining sugar and vanilla sugar. Stir in flour and then add the remaining milk.

    • 125 g flour (438 kcal)
    • 3 tbsp sugar (120 kcal)
    • 1 pkt vanilla sugar (40 kcal)
  3. Gently fold the beaten egg whites into the mixture in two portions.

    • 125 g flour (438 kcal)
    • 3 tbsp sugar (120 kcal)
    • 1 pkt vanilla sugar (40 kcal)
  4. Melt butter in an ovenproof pan. Pour in the batter, spread evenly and cook on the highest stove setting for 1 minute.

    • 125 g flour (438 kcal)
    • 3 tbsp sugar (120 kcal)
    • 1 pkt vanilla sugar (40 kcal)
    • 1 tbsp butter (102 kcal)
  5. Bake the Kaiserschmarrn in a preheated oven at 200°C top and bottom heat for about 10 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Remove from the oven, quarter and tear into bite-sized pieces.
  7. Sprinkle with icing sugar and serve with cherry compote.
